How does Vejibag work?

It's not rocket science! Vejibag wraps your produce in moisture that veggies need to stay fresh. Just get the bag wet, put your washed veggies in, and put it in the fridge.

WET IT. BAG IT. CRISP IT.

  • wet the bag

    Rinse the bag under your faucet so that it’s wet but not dripping.

  • put veggies in

    Put clean, washed (whole or chopped) veggies into the bag.

  • put in crisper

    Stick it in the fridge! Re-wet the bag in a few days if it dries out.

Voila! Your veggies will now last 2 weeks longer.

How do you use Vejibag?

What kind of veggies can I put in my Vejibag?

Most veggies that you put in the fridge are happy in Vejibags, including leafy greens, herbs, peppers, root vegetables, green beans & peas, and brassicas. It even works for cut vegetables!

A few that don’t do as well include potatoes, tomatoes, and mushrooms—produce that needs dry air.

Do I have to wash my veggies before I put them in the bag?

That’s up to you! We have some customers who wash, and some who don’t. If transferring from an already bagged product, we do recommend washing the veggies and removing any wilted leaves, shaking out excess water, and then placing the produce in the bag.

Can I put in cut vegetables?

In short, yes—cut vegetables stay fresher, longer in Vejibags. Some of our favorite examples include apple slices, baby carrots, cucumber slices, bell peppers, and leftover salad mix (without the dressing).

Vejibag is great for food prep! Make your own "salad in a bag" for quick weeknight meals.

That other half of the apple you didn't finish, or the extra pepper slices you want to save for later? Throw them in a Vejibag to make them last longer!

Is Vejibag machine washable?

Yes, Vejibags are machine washable and dryer-friendly.

We recommend that you turn the bags inside out and launder with fragrance free detergent. Hang in the sun to dry or machine dry.
