This is the best purchase I have ever made for my health and wallet. I am sure I am not alone with the endless cycle of wanting to get fresh veggies in my diet and throwing away slimy greens and limp celery over and over again. I hav been using these Vejibags for about a month and haven't thrown out a single vegetable yet! I highly recommend getting at least one bag to see for yourself.

These bags are working out pretty well. Love that they have a variety of sizes and mixed assortment packs.

While I don't buy many herbs, I did want to have this in case I do as I do buy basil pretty regularly. Previously I stuffed zucchini on one side and asparagus on the other and it worked out. I was also able fold the two sides together like a booked. The asparagus stayed good in the bag!

These bags are fantastic. My lettuce and other greens stay as fresh as the day I bought them.

Did not work as advertised

I still need to use my lettuce spinner because just rinsing and shaking the water off keeps the lettuce way too wet. These bags do keep the lettuce very fresh, and it's great getting rid of plastic, but they don't eliminate the damn lettuce spinner.

Love these bags! Already owned the medium and extra-large sizes for produce. Bought this size for scallions & herbs. They keep produce SO FRESH in the crisper!

Definitely keeps veggies longer

I showed a family member the parsley I had in one of these bags for over a week. And she said “It looks like just coming from the store”! Same goes for our salad mix. And I love that the bag will fit anywhere in the fridge versus leaving it in the plastic container. Highly recommend these.

I prepped my lettuce and clean it and then put it in the veggie bag. It is fresh it stays fresh for days

I bought one of these bags while on an extended stay in Arizona this winter. When I brought it home and started to use it, I was amazed that the Spring Mix I was storing in the bag remained crisp and there was not the usual rotting of the red leaves! So I bought 3 more bags on Amazon and now I store all my fresh veggies with confidence that they will remain fresh each time I use them.They are well worth the price!

I’ve been using these bags for over a year and they truly do amazing things for veggies. They easily keep my leafy greens crisp for 2 weeks.However, they have grown mold and nothing I do removes the mold. I washed them fairly often but if I could go back I’d wash them more regularly like every 1 or 2 weeks (be sure to wash inside out). Although the stitching on the corner of one them has come apart and I’m afraid washing more often will speed up that tearing.I’m thinking of buying another set and trying to keep better care of them.

There’s no way I would have purchased these without the rave reviews. It’s true folks. These bags are well worth the money. My vegetables are literally coming out fresher and crisper than when I put them in. I had some wilted green onions I placed in one and they became fresh again. Not exaggerating! I just bought another set of these incredibly expensive bags and I couldn’t be happier that I did. So glad I won’t be throwing out my veges! Yay!

Just as wrapping up washed lettuce in a damp tea towel in the refrigerator actually revives it and makes it more crisp, so do these bags. A little pricey, but not as pricey as produce going bad. Biggest problem is that when the produce isn't seen, it's not staring you in the face to be cooked/eaten/saved. We've taken to writing what's in the bags on the outside of the refrigerator, an error-prone solution. Second problem is keeping the bags moist. How moist is moist enough? Getting and keeping it in the Goldilocks range can be challenging.We're still working at trying to get the value out of these bags.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got these but I'm loving them so far. My lettuce has lasted longer than anything else I have used, allowing me to save money and less waste. The cost of the bags is not cheap but in the long run I can see it really helping me save and I'm not storing food in plastic which I personally appreciate.

I've been using zip-lock freezer bags perforated with a few tiny holes to keep veggies fresh in the fridge (learned of this technique from the book "Eating on the Wild Side"). The Vegibags work even better and have greatly reduced my use of disposable plastics -- and no more rinsed freezer bags hanging around the dish rack taking forever to dry! I just checked a partially used head of romaine I've had in a Vegibag for a couple weeks now, and it's still crisp and fresh.I was a bit worried about putting wet cotton bags in the fridge, but have had no problems. I've used them in crisper drawers and the open part of the refrigerator, and the bags stay moist but don't drip water or grow mold. The sizes in this set are good. The largest will hold a really large head of lettuce or bunch of greens. The bags are sturdy and look like they will last for years.One note--these could be sewn at home pretty quickly for a fraction of the cost. But if you're not a sewer, the convenience, functionality, and environmental benefits of these bags make them worth the price.

The moment I took these out of the plastic wrapper, I knew immediately these were well made and high quality storage bags. They are thick, strong and I feel very comfortable with putting my vegetables in these for storage in the fridge. Just follow directions and wet the bags, wring out excess water, make sure your vegetables are also damp and place them inside bags and in fridge. Keeps my vegetables and even herbs in great condition and lasts longer than plastic, and I have been wanting to stop storing my vegetables in plastic so as to avoid the bpa's from leaching onto my vegetables.I had contemplated buying a cheaper versions, but I am glad I splurged and bought these better quality bags because they are worth it and I am really happy with the quality, size and value. Besides, these pay for themselves with the amount of vegeatbles I don't have to throw away.

THESE HAVE SAVED ME!!! I cook for one most of the week, and I was always throwing out bits of produce here and there. Now I can finally keep produce for weeks and have a variety available at all time. It's like a garden in my vegetable crisper.These bags are very easy to use. You just wet them and then wring them out. Put the produce in. If it starts getting dry, I'll lightly mist them. Otherwise, I try to rotate them, so that I can machine wash them inbetween cycles. They're great! I'm buying them for all my friends and family.

just started using this today, filled the large one up w/ different lettuces and spinach will be until the last bit comes out of the bag until i know if i am happy w/ it. i sure am hoping i am. was sent a letter asking for my review, really don't know yet, so all i can give is a midway on the stars.**edit, having been using now for nearly 6 months, very happy w/ the bags.

I love love love these bags. I have to store lotsa greens (multiple rabbits, multiple humans), and I don't have enough counter space to keep even some of them out in jars of water. With these Vejibags I no longer have to worry about re-buying special plastic bags, no longer have to worry that the bags I buy will end up polluting the ocean, and they work great. These bags are effective, cost-effective, easy to use, easy to care for, eco-friendly, and made in USA.May sound like I got some deal for my review. Nope. I bought them, have used them, decided to share my thumbs up.

UPDATE - October 11, 2017: I just ordered my second set of Vejibags. They have really saved me a lot of money over the months because things really don’t rot inside this protected, moist, and breathable environment. LOVE them!ORIGINAL REVIEW: These nifty produce bags solve the problem of allowing our produce to breathe without drying them out. Excellent quality - nice and thick. And I like that they come in three sizes. It was a pretty steep initial investment, but they are so effective that I think they will pay for themselves in the long run.

Amazing! You won't believe what these bags do to salad. No, I didn't say preserve or just extend, they do that for sure. What I mean is you can bring your greens home, prepare them for the bag, dampen the bag, put it in your fridge and I would guarantee you they look better the next day than when you brought them home. It's really unbelievable! Don't over pack them or you'll still get the effect of plastic. I love them and will buy more.

These bags are amazing! I have a high-end refrigerator but my produce was always drying out or going bad very quickly, even in the produce bin. These bags maintain the proper moisture level and I'm able to keep produce like lettuce, spinach, cabbage, carrots, celery, cauliflower, broccoli and herbs fresh and crispy for at least 2-3 weeks. The bags worked really well over the holidays when I had to buy a lot of extra produce for dinners at Farmers Market - everything stayed fresh for 2 weeks! So easy to use too. Just dampen them, insert the produce and put it in the fridge. If the bag starts to dry out, just re-wet it.UPDATE 6/2017 - I just purchased my second set of these bags. My first set has seen A LOT of use over the last year and were starting to get worn. I still love them!
